The foundation to Geparts was born back in 1975 when Gerth, aged 11, bought his first Go Kart - a Lohl with Pairilla motor... anything but reliable. It became expensive, as a 15-year-old Gerth started importing Go Kart parts from other countries and servicing/tuning competitors' engines.
1980-84 during the mechanical engineering training at Lars Kagg in Kalmar, the business escalated, at most there were 24 engines in the workshop. Among other things a water-cooled Husqvarna 125cc engine was built by Gerth 2 years before it went into production by the factory...
From 1985 and from over, it was bigger cars that applied, a lot of fun projects took place.
